A fair point Squire, but most games I've played online have not had as many splitpots as you would imagine.

My first recollection of hi/lo was a while ago on Laddies. A guy called wildrick was railing other MTT's asking people to fill up a certain omaha hi/lo MTT so it would reach the required 30 people in order for leaderboard points to be awarded.

I (being the nice guy that I am) duly bought into it having NEVER played the game before in my life. Needless to say it was a rebuy bloodbath which I still wake up screaming about to this day.

To say I was a little out of my depth would be similar to saying John and Edward have a real shot at winning the X Factor!

After a few years of playing the game however I now find it one of the most enjoyable forms of poker around and would encourage those who have not yet tried it to give it a chance.

It's still paying for my beer now, Khenny . I'll never forget my first days of Omaha8 watching Rick playing cash. The days when XXscottXX played, AJ, GREEKFISH, Deccy and many many more. That's where I wet my toes (and had them ripped off by the sharks whenever I stepped up to the 2/4 game) and learnt the skills I use today. I truly believe the 15 books I've read on Hilo as well as thousands of hands played (and the fact that half the field of play haven't got a clue) has helped me immensely. Very Happy Very Happy
